Motivation
Most people agree that playing chess is beneficial to children, and coaches/parents of scholastic chess
players usually have first‐hand evidence to support this conclusion. A search for essays and “hard evidence” concerning the benefits of chess on kids. A simple Google search
on “chess benefits for kids” will produce so many hits that it can be hard to know where to start.
